Welcome to RULAW (“App”, “Platform”, “we”, “our”, “us”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the RULAW mobile application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the App.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the App immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using RULAW, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to:

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and RULAW.

2. Nature of Services

RULAW is a digital legal information and lawyer discovery platform that provides:

Access to legal information, rules, and government schemes
Lawyer listings and profiles
Lawyer discovery and communication tools
Legal consultation booking features
Document and media sharing functionality within consultations

RULAW is a technology platform only and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal guarantees.

Any consultation, advice, communication, agreement, or legal service provided by a lawyer is solely between the user and the respective lawyer.

RULAW is not responsible for:

Legal opinions or advice provided by lawyers
Outcomes of legal matters
Accuracy of lawyer credentials or claims
Disputes between users and lawyers

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

By using the App, you confirm that:

You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
The information provided by you is accurate and complete

4. User Accounts

Certain features require account registration.

You agree to:

Provide accurate and updated information
Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
Be responsible for all activity under your account
Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

5. Lawyer Listings & Consultations

Lawyer profiles and related information may be created by lawyers or authorized representatives.

RULAW does not independently verify all information provided in lawyer profiles, including:

Qualifications
Experience
Certifications
Success rates
Legal expertise

Users are advised to independently evaluate lawyers before engaging their services.

All consultations, payments, legal services, and communications between users and lawyers are conducted independently.

6. Media Uploads & Storage Permissions

To enable document and image sharing during legal consultations, the App may request access to media files on your device, including permission such as READ_MEDIA_IMAGES.

What We Access

We access only the images or files that you explicitly select through the system file picker.

How We Use It

Selected files are uploaded securely for sharing within the legal consultation chat feature
Files are accessible only to you and your assigned lawyer
We do not scan, access, or collect unrelated media files from your device
We do not use uploaded files for advertising or unrelated purposes

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the legality, authenticity, and appropriateness of any files uploaded through the platform.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
Upload harmful, abusive, defamatory, or illegal content
Attempt unauthorized access to systems or servers
Interfere with App functionality or security
Copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit App content without permission

Violation may result in suspension or permanent termination of access.

8. Payments & Refunds

If paid services are offered:

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways
Applicable fees and charges will be displayed before payment
Refunds, cancellations, and disputes will follow the policies displayed within the App

RULAW is not responsible for disputes arising between users and lawyers regarding paid consultations or legal services.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with or link to third-party services including:

Payment gateways
Analytics providers
OTP/authentication providers
External legal resources

We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services.

10. Intellectual Property

All App content including:

Logos
Designs
Text
Features
Graphics
Databases
Software

are owned by or licensed to RULAW and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

Unauthorized use is prohibited.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App and services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee:

Continuous availability
Accuracy of legal information
Error-free operation
Suitability for any specific purpose

Users access and use the App at their own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RULAW shall not be liable for:

Legal losses or disputes
Lawyer misconduct
Indirect or consequential damages
Loss of data or business
Service interruptions
Unauthorized account access

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App without prior notice if:

You violate these Terms
You misuse the platform
Required by law
Necessary to protect users or platform security

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms periodically.

Updated versions will be posted within the App or related platforms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in India.
